Check out Kona Kitchen for Hawaiian, Kizuki for ramen and the Watershed Pub for pizza and sandwiches. Other local favorites include the 32 Bar & Grill, the cozy Blue Saucer and the Snappy Dragon.

In addition to the ubiquitous Starbucks, the Maple Leaf neighborhood offers such java spots as the Jewel Box, Cloud City and Cafe Javasti.

Maple Leaf feels like a small town within the city. Tree-lined streets and well-maintained homes give the area a welcoming, settled feel. You’ll find everything from 1920s Tudors and 1930s brick homes to newer craftsman-style builds and modern infill developments. Neighbors often know each other by name, and it’s not uncommon to see kids riding bikes or neighbors chatting across front lawns.

🚆 Getting Around

Despite its peaceful vibe, Maple Leaf is well-connected. I-5 runs just west of the neighborhood, providing fast access to downtown Seattle, while Roosevelt Station and Northgate Station offer Light Rail connections. Lake City Way also runs nearby for east-side commuters or quick trips into the U District.
